of conduct

As an organization involved in global commerce, Oy Mini-Maid Ab seeks to ensure that the purchase of raw material, the trading of goods, the production of goods, and the delivery of goods are under conditions that do not support, encourage, endorse or involve any abuse, discrimination, or exploitation in any form of any persons of any ethnicity (be that a child or an adult, male or female) as defined by the International and National “laws and conventions” for our organization and throughout our supplier network.

As a registered company in Finland, we are bound by law to comply with Finnish national labour, health, and safety laws. This includes allowing workers freedom of association and collective bargaining, access to national corporate health care service, and a safe and secure working place. All employment at Mini Maid is freely chosen and based on equal opportunity and treatment. We strongly believe in the international labour standards concerning “Fundamental Human Rights Conventions” and “Fundamental Principles and Rights at work” set up by the International Labour Organization of which Finland is a member. We especially oppose any exploitation of children as labour and support the International Labour Organization´s conventions on Child Labour (ILO convention No. 138 and No.182).

Furthermore, Oy Mini-Maid Ab seeks to ensure that the products produced and supplied are in compliance with current and relevant food safety regulations for products that come in contact with food, and that these products have a minimal negative impact on the environment. The raw materials used in our production are responsibly selected so as not to come from “questionable sources”. We are committed to avoid trading and sourcing paperboard from wood or wood fiber originating from: illegally harvested sources, sources harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights, sources harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities, sources harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non forest use, and sources from forests in which genetically modified trees are planted.

All of our end products are recyclable and/or biodegradable. By recycling 100% of our waste, we strive to have a sound environmental waste management practice in order to minimize our waste footprint.
